I have accounts at several different banks. I pick banks with branches near my units. I tell the bank to put a note on my account that tenants will be depositing rent. I don’t give the tenant my account number. They tell the bank my name and the bank hands them a generic deposit receipt. Totally safe. No, “I didn’t have an envelope” or “it must have gotten lost in the mail” excuses. Easy Peasy!
