Quote from @Abel Curiel:

Hello @Jeni Famorca,

The first actionable steps I'd recommend would be to:

1. Learn what your day-to-day as a wholesaler would be.
Much is posted online in reference to the profits that can be made from wholesaling (using little-no $ of your own).
What is NOT mentioned often enough online is that wholesaling (much like RE sales as a Realtor) is reliant upon you building a marketing AND sales business.
BP published a good book on this and I'm sure there are others out there that will give you a better idea of what to expect.

2. Set up your systems for lead generation and lead follow-up. i.e. software to find and call potential sellers; CRM to manage and follow up with potential sellers long term; software to access local property information for deal analysis/comps; etc.

3. Speak with local people of interest: investors; Realtors; attorneys/title companies; etc.

Wishing you all the best to you on your journey!

Abel

Thank you so much for this information! I really appreciate it!

Hello, my name is Jeni and I am a complete beginner interested in learning how to wholesale. I have a background in the medical field so not a lot of knowledge in real estate, but looking to change that! I have been researching and reading and came across bigger pockets so I am also new to this platform.

Question: What are some first actionable steps to take to get started as a beginner? I don't have any "connections" or have realtors, etc in my current circle.

Any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Jeni
