@RobertLorenz , Thats great to know.. Are you going to the next meeting? I went to the Fortune Builders event on Sat at the Metro Sheraton, and paid for the 3 day event next month, but yesterday decided to cancel because I thought I could get more classes and better results by joining AZREIA. It just seems looking at the materials they give you at FB that a 6 year old could of put it together. I was impressed by the speaker, but the materials were lacking. My impression is they put a good, entertaining salesman up there to pitch the 3 day event, and reading up on it, it sounds like there would just be more of the same to get you to spend more on the 25k package.. I dont have that hesitation with joining AZREIA, as everything I have heard about their group has been positive and on point.

Brett Snodgrass , Dave Visaya , and Robert Lorenz ,

Thanks for the prompt and extensive answers. Great feedback and am looking forward to being a contributing member of this great community.

Another question, when working with and in selecting a mentor, if you are just working with them from a guidance and advice standpoint, and not receiving funding from them, what is proper compensation?  I saw Brett said do a 60/40 split with the mentor receiving 60%, but what is this based on? Is this assuming they are a full partner for each deal the mentor works with you and how many deals does it usually take to figure things out? I read somewhere if you haven't made money by your third deal you should find another line of work. So the 60/40 split I assume should be a one time thing, provided you get all the knowledge you need from that one deal? I would assume if you are doing flips for the first deal and do a different type of deal ( like wholesaling or buy and hold) another time, you might need some hand holding for the different deals...

Anyone have any recommendations for PML's that do business in the Phoenix area? I realize it doesn't matter if they are here, but just wondering where to get started with that and if anyone can recommend a good one.
