@Ned Carey Thank you for the response. I have already met with a lawyer today, seems that I made a small mistake on the paperwork which may have made the judge skeptical of me, to begin with. I should have met with a lawyer in the first place, learning my lesson the hard way.

Possession. Thank you, I will be hiring a lawyer to file for me this time around in hopes the judge will be more inclined to look over my records and proof of nonpayment.

Hi everyone. I have a few questions since I cannot find the answer to my question no matter how much searching I do.

Filed failure to pay rent for my tenants who have not paid rent for 2 months. Went to court, tenants showed up. Judge refused to see my evidence, took tenant's word that they are up to date minus a few hundred dollars. Judge asked when they could pay, they said the very next day. When I tried to ask questions, find out what happens if they do not pay and how long they have to pay, the judge more or less said they weren't answering any questions from me and it is dismissed.

Was this a judgment? Court was at the beginning of the week and they still have not paid the amount the judge said nor rent for this month. I am about to contact a lawyer but I am confused, do they have however long they please to pay this amount? I did not receive any kind of paperwork after the court hearing. Do I need to file another failure to pay rent and start over from the beginning?

This may be a silly question but I am at my wits end here, especially after the way I was treated in court.
