@Marc Winter Thank you, good to know. Will definitely do some more investigating.

Purchasing a duplex, while walking through with the home inspector. Couldn’t help but notice that I could hear the other tenant through a shared wall of the duplex. I’ve been brainstorming whether to dig into the drywall. And then maybe apply liquid foam insulation. Or maybe dig into wall and see if there is any insulation at all and then insulate it. Or maybe double drywall that wall and then mud.  Or maybe even a combination of some of these. Has anybody approached this problem with any different solutions? Let me know what you guys think.

@Jim K. Thank you, I get what your saying. That is good to know. I did’t say in the post that as soon as I heard of the problem that I called roto company and they were great and disclosed how and were the clog was.

@Wesley W. Nice, very helpful. When we close on the property and write up a new contract for renters I will definitely be referencing this👍🏽.

In contract with a property that has been known to have a expense of unclogging the pipes. These clogs are not pipe related but rather the tenant flushing of wet wipes and or other products that should be thrown away not flushed. They are out of contract and now month to month. Am I able to put in the rental contract a fee for clogged pipes due to these inconsiderate flushes. Or the bill and a fee. That way if they do not pay on these issues or remedy them then it will be a breach of contract to start a evection process. Curious if anybody has ran across this and what their solution was.
