Post: Business cards at the park

Hi,

I am a new real estate agent and looking to get the word out a bit. I was thinking of walking around the park this weekend with a cooler of freezies and passing them out with my business card, and of course talking to anyone who had any real estate questions.

Is this a good idea? Would people be potentially receptive to this or would it just be a waste of cards for people who'll never call? Also is this even legal? I have never seen anyone else pass out cards in a public place.

Thank you for any answers!

I am looking to get listings out of it

Hi,

I am just starting out as a real estate agent and want to find good business. I understand that cold calling expired and FSBOs has never been easy but it has at least consistent results. With our current market though is anything really expiring? Would it be an even larger use of time to get a listing from one?

I want some good lead gen strategies and I'm willing to cold call but seriously how much does this work when houses are selling super fast?

Thanks for any help!

Hi,

I have just recently received my Realtors license and hung it with a brokerage in the Minneapolis, St Paul area in MN.

I am initially from the Duluth area about 2 hours north of here. My sphere of influence becomes much larger when I include people who live in my hometown.

The fees to join the Duluth association are not very high and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to try reaching out to my sphere up there as well as down here to cast a wider net for leads, considering I am brand new. That would obviously create a lot more travel time should I get a client in Duluth and that could take away from time spent building relationships in MSP, but considering I know 2-3x more people in my hometown would it make sense to try working both markets?

Thank you for any responses!
