Good Morning Ricay! I would recommend Vic Jarvis and his team. They are more than capable in helping you with any investor/real estate needs you have. http://vicjarvis.yourkwagent.com

My meeting went great. I had prewritten as many questions I knew I wanted answered as well as made notes of what I bring to the table along with my goals. The broker was very professional and had markedly great people skills. I felt little pressure to impress and he spoke with great confidence to all questions and points I brought up. They are definitely a front runner and will be hard to beat. Having been my first meeting with a broker I am still committed to sitting down with at least 2 others. 1 from a local boutique type brokerage, as well as 1 other big brokerage. I appreciate the feedback from the initial post.

Thanks @Pat S. for the recommendation. I am focusing heavily on the education side of what a brokerage can offer in hopes to later leverage that into future investing activities. My hope is to find a low monthly fee/educational/team environment (even if it costs me more in my split). I have a big interest in home building side and have some local relationships with builders that I can really find a niche in finding buyers for. The processes and systems are very well established and make the build to close phase simple. I will however need to learn to systemize finding buyers beyond my spirit of influence as that will run dry from only living in GA for 2 years.

It's going to be fun talking to the brokers and finding the shoe that fits best.

Hey BP Crew!

I am coming out of the shadows to ask for some input. I became a member of BP last Summer and have been in and out reading on the forums. Over the past several months I have decided to go ahead and get my real estate license as a great way to "learn the business". I look forward to begin marketing for listings and to represent buyers after hanging my license with a broker in October. I will primarily focus on first time buyers and new construction but have many investor contacts. That being said...

I will be doing my first, of what I plan to be several interviews with a brokers tomorrow. I am putting together a list of questions I know I want answered but I need your help! What questions do you think are great to ask or discussion points to hit on when talking with a broker in considering joining their team? Success of course will be more based on the individual than it will be with getting in with the just the right broker. But what do you/have you look for in that relationship?

I haven't been on here lately due to a recent job change. I have been working 65+ hours a week. Thanks for the welcome everyone! @Noralee Deason

I have made an offer to have Fred Williams build me a house. Just outside of Effingham and is pending. It will be a great starter and may eventually turn into an income property. I see prices rising here very soon. I believe we are catching it on the way up. As far as Savannah REIA, I went to one of the meetings alone and saw it as being useful. They are going to start charging a membership fee which is fully justifyable but I'm not sure It's the place where I'll get the most bang for my buck. Plenty of information out there. I have a lot of questions and want to tailor how a gameplan to "get in the game" over the next couple of years...

Hey Guys!

I am very excited to have stumbled across BiggerPockets. I am at the beginning stages of investing time, energy, money, among other things into the real estate world.

I have always believed that a 9-5 was not going to be the answer to my financial future/success. With a recent job loss it become very clear that I needed to become engaged in an area that I always felt drawn to. In college, I wrote a business plan regarding the purchase of foreclosures well below market value and turning them into premium student rentals in a market that was in short supply. Although that plan was devised out of pure excitement for "what could be" it was not necessarily a plan built on any sound or proven real estate techniques. Having never pursued that opportunity, I've always felt like it was something I would do "sometime in the future" and the future is now. I am excited about this period of discovery and look forward to meeting many of you!

I recently moved to Savannah, GA with my fiance Kristianna we are really excited about being here as we chase our dreams and goals while traveling down life's path together. Feel free to reach out to me. I am always up for meeting over a cup of coffee.
