Curious if anyone has had something like this happen and what you did about it...

Two of our neighbors, who are also good friends, wanted to see our current rehab (which is in the beginning stages). Not seeing any harm in it, my wife took them to the house. While she was there with them, the two ladies got so excited about all the stuff THEY could do with the landscaping. A lot of: "ooooh we could do this!" and "we should get xyz kinds of plants!" My wife said it really caught her off guard. When they went into the house, the pair pointed out all the old stuff my wife could sell to reclamation centers. While of course we appreciated THAT tip, they then decided that THEY would take pics and contact the centers, instead of just allowing us to do it, even though my wife told them multiple times that she would take care of it. One of them is now acting as the middle man and trying to do all the negotiations FOR US, and wants to be at the house when the center people come to pick up the items....and even TOLD THE CENTER REP without our permission that she would be there!

The other friend really wants to help with the landscaping. She admitted that she'll help for free but wants any left over old bricks. The middleman friend said she'd help but she can't do it for free. ...wth?! Meanwhile my wife's head is spinning. She took them there because they wanted to see it and in a matter of minutes they have completely involved themselves.

The center called us wanting to meet in the morning and said they know the one lady will be there. They left a voice message, we havent called back yet. We seriously don't even know what just happened or how to stop this snowball without being completely rude to our neighbors....

Welcome to BP and Beavercreek! BP is a great community of helpful people. Locally, we also have a networking group that meets once per month. You are welcome to join us and start building your local network.

Next meetup is Jun 8.

 Darrin,

Is there a FB or page that shows the when and wheres?  I would love to begin networking, and appreciate the insight.

Welcome to the site.

What are you guys looking to invest in?

 James,

We are looking right now for low to medium dollar flips, we have some private money available to help us get going out here.  Also Katie is going to start working towards her realtors license after our discussion last night.  I am currently doing my masters so just no time for me at this point.  When she gets her license we will look heavily at wholesaling as well, that would be her expertise and mine would be flips and to add to our rentals.

Good day everyone!

My wife and I are new to the area and excited to begin investing here.  I am a program manager, and my wife has a degree and experience in Marketing.  Since we are new to this area, we are starting from scratch and beginning or networking and finding resources to learn about how this area is.

Look forward to meeting/talking to you all!

Jerome & Katie
