Wow @Michaela G., this is really good insight.  I'm North OTP and am always on the lookout for opportunities ITP.  This has got to be the biggest headache!  Thank you for sharing.

Hey @Mike H. Jones, what are your thoughts on the Perkerson Neighborhood?  Seems to be an area that's starting to get some investors buying, but it's still pretty early.  This is the area south of Langford Parkway...not the Perkerson Park that's just north of Langford.  Too early to tell? 

Really like your write-up of everything that was South ITP.  VERY informative.

Hi, Bigger Pockets!  My name is Jeremy, and I live with my wife and 3 kids in Marietta, GA (‘OTP’ for you locals 🙂), where we’ve been since the early 2000’s.  I love this part of the metro area.  I grew up in Florida and went to college in Alabama before settling here.  Between those 3 states, plus our proximity to South Carolina and Tennessee, I feel like I’ve got a good, regional base to start investing in real estate.  

I’ve been sitting on the sidelines for a very long time, day-dreaming about possibilities, and I’ve finally reached a point where I’m tired of watching.  I’ve spent my career working for someone else and making a lot of money for other people.  I love what I do, but I’m ready to build something for myself and achieve true financial independence.  

There are 3 areas I’d like to invest in:  single family homes, small multi-family homes and land.  

I’m anxious to get started.  I’m reading the beginner’s guide, listening to podcasts and attending webinars.
