Hi BiggerPockets Fam!

What would you all say is the average cashflow per unit in Newark New Jersey? My first buy and hold property is cash flowing around $210 per unit after accounting for vacancy, repairs, and CapEx. My initial goal was to get $300 per unit moving forward, but the numbers seems to be leading me back to around $200. Please share your thoughts. Thanks!

I own a triplex in Weequahic one block from the hospital. It is certainly a block by block situation. I happen to be on a decent block and I inherited fantastic tenants. Moving forward, I will not accept inherited tenants although my experience has good so far. I am currently looking o buy another triplex in Weequahic.

HI Aditya,

I have house-hacked a multi unit in Newark, NJ utilizing a FHA loan. I would look into a FHA 203k loan, which allows you to buy a property that needs repair and the cost of the repair be wrapped into your mortgage. I'll send you a PM so we can connect.
