@Ned Carey The agent is representing the homeowner. Honestly this is my 1st transaction and and I do t have a lawyer at the moment. Not sure if I would have to pay the lawyer upfront to retain, that's y I was choosing to use theirs for the transaction. I already have a drafted contract which I will provide.

@Steve Morris Yes they do, I just provided them with the POF and the agent said they would like to proceed. Then asked for my lawyer info

I currently have a potential property that I would like to close a deal on. The real estate agent is asking me for my lawyers info. Is it possible I can use their lawyer and provide the contract?

Thanks for the insight fellas.

@Jeffrey Edwards Thanks much appreciated

Hey,

Working on my first deal and I presented my seller with a purchase contract I found online. The seller stated he would rather his lawyer contact my lawyer and draft a new contract. Not sure if this is normal, or if my contract wasn't feasible. Has this ever happen to anybody and if so, what was ur reply?
