Thanks Brian and Steven. I did a cursory search for questions that would be related to mine above but my search strategy was not good. But after searching proper keywords I came upon a wealth of information on this topic. Nevertheless, I appreciate you guys for being patient and willing to help.

Steven, the investment type that I am looking into is similar to a MF property managed by an LLC fund. The properties will be rented. This would be an SDIRA account. Not sure I can do a solo 401k since I already have one from work.

Thank you Mark and Trevon. So glad I found BP. Wonderful people, willing and open to help and give their valuable time to others. I have learned more in the last few days from BP than anywhere else.

Hi,

Looking for advice (dos/don'ts) around investing from a Selfdirected IRA into a RE private LLC that is leveraged.

It would be great to hear from folks who have done above mentioned investments and their experiences with filing taxes etc.. and experiences/opinions on whether it is worthwhile going along this path considering the taxes, paperwork and/or other headaches.

Also are the corresponding rules different between a Traditional IRA and a ROTH for an above mentioned type of investment?

Thanks

Hi Mindy,

Thanks for reaching out. Broadly speaking I am going towards a passive approach with the hope of getting active or fully active (solely rely on) RE investments.

Regards,

Jayman
