@Dave E.

It’s no problem man. You guys are right I probably should have gotten such a big project so fast but if I don’t jump out there then I will never know what I’m capable of. I definitely wasn’t trying to sound like I was getting rude.

@Dave E.

When I created my BiggerPockets account it was because I wanted to get into real estate. And in the occupation section I had to choose and contractor was the closest to what I actually do. But if this app is for helping why am I getting questioned about the contractor part. I will get there someday and remember everybody has to start somewhere. So yes I could change my occupation but if I do I really would be just choosing something.

@Marian Smith

There isn’t any smoke odor. Someone put a new roof and replaced a lot of the studs after the fire.

@Philip Coiro

I appreciate that info. That’s exactly what I needed to know honestly.

@Mike Baxter

😂 I’m not pulling any legs. I got the house for dirt cheap so I was planning on holding on to it until I was ready to fix it. Just because someone is a contractor doesn’t mean they know everything. I’ve never done a job like this but I do a lot of concrete jobs. I do know that if I’m going to do this, I shouldn’t be scared because it’s a lot.

@Mike Baxter

The house is already down to the studs. I don’t know where to begin.

I’m buying a property that had caught fire and is now gutted out. Over time the wiring was taken out of the house, I honestly don’t even know about the plumbing yet. Could someone point me in the right direction as far as rehabbing this property.

Thanks in advance.

@David Avery thanks for the reply, I ended up assigning the contract to another buyer.

Hey, I’m wondering if anyone could tell me if I should continue with this deal. Other investors have said it’s too much work when dealing with foundation issues. Each side of the house is separated from the floors and the middle of the house is going in. Some of the floors are going up and down like a wave.

Should I back out of this deal?
