Joe, Thanks. I too listen to a few good podcast, but haven't really watched a lot of YouTube videos. So who are you watching these days that you are finding a good amount of value from?

Nice work doing all that reading. Next step is to start evaluating deals. My favorite book is The Millionaire Real Estate Investor by Gary Keller. This book will help you with your evaluations.

Thanks! I am going to see if I have that one, if not I'm definitely grabbing it.

So as you all know from my introduction post, I am a brand new to REI.

I have been working to increase my knowledge base by reading everything I can get my hands on or that is recommended to me. I literally am on a first name basis with my Amazon driver. LOL

So here is just a small sample of what I have been reading lately. But I would love to hear recommendations from the group as to what REI books I should be reading.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I look forward to meeting a lot of you in the upcoming months. I have been working with my mentor to learn how to analyze properties and am looking to find my first deal.

Hello everyone. I'm Jason and I am a brand new investor in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.

I am basically focusing on small multi-family units. I haven't pulled the trigger on my first deal yet. However I expect to soon. Until then, for the past few months I've just been doing the usual "new guy" stuff. I've been reading every book I can find on Amazon or at the used book stores, listening to countless podcasts and studying real estate vocabulary and strategies. I've also been fortunate enough to secure an experienced mentor. So I feel like I am in good shape and off to a really good start.

Id love to connect and network with others in my area, so I'm extending an open invite for coffee to anyone in the Hampton Roads area that wants to meet up and just talk real estate.
