Post: Referral Fee Question

My friend in California asked me to assist him with identifying commercial properties near my home in Texas.

Can my friend’s company (based in California) pay me a finders/referral fee for each property they purchase? If yes, any caps of the fee? If no, what’s the recommended work around (I.e. flat rate of consulting services)?

Thank you @Dmitriy Fomichenko and @Daniel Dietz - much appreciated.  What's the difference between SDIRAs and SOLO401Ks?

Hello everyone! I’m new to REI and have heard that partnering with Self-Directed IRA Investors is a good solution for raising funds. Thoughts? What’s the best way to find Self-Directed IRA Investors? Thank you in advance for the feedback.

Thank you, @Deep Johal. Yes, I’ve researched duplexes and triplexes in several DFW cities.

Arlington, Grand Prairie, and Fort Worth seems to be good areas for investors. Thoughts?

Hello everyone! My name is Jason and I'm just getting started in real estate investment. I have been listening to the BP podcasts and reading real estate books for a few months. I want to learn more about buy-and-hold strategy for small multifamily properties and SFH. I'm currently looking for partners/mentors in the Dallas Fort Worth area to help me get started with this journey. Glad to be part of the BP community!
