Hi,

I have recently been signed on as a Referral agent for a large firm in New York City. I have many sources of leads available to me but I don't have the experience to decide what are the best options to take. Please let me know what tips some of you guys have!?

Hi Guys!

I have a question to ask basically anyone who has an opinion on this matter. So I have been looking around my local community and spotted many different "we buy homes" "blah blah investing". What I noticed was a mixture of real names and brand names. People have fictitous names for there business and some have there own. I was wondering what you guys think on the matter. Whether you extend your own name as a brand or you make up a fictitious name?

I am currently in college and am itching to get started in investing and building a significant real estate portfolio.

I would appreciate some tips from people who have been in similar situations. I want to know what I can start doing now, obviously education is my primary focus, not just my college degree but my real estate education. Rest assured I have been studying relentlessly and need some help on what my next steps should be.

For example should I look at partnering with local investors? Should I look at financing from my parents?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

@Colin Simpson

Thank you for your response. Since writing this post I have discovered that, your method would work perfectly for me as my parents invest already. The problem was the couple of houses that fit my criteria were sold. But I will continue to push on.

Thanks for the help!

Hi BiggerPockets community,

I am currently a college student, who is extremely into real estate investing. I have read several books and I am reading articles on here every day. I have done all of the ask a real estate agent find a mentor all of that but am still lacking the key ingredient for investing. Financing.

As a college student I obviously cannot work a full time job and the school only offers minimum wage jobs. I also have a decent savings account from summer jobs and during the semester.

I'm sure you are wondering, what is the point of this kid? Well I would just like to hear some similar stories and how people overcame these challenges. I have deals ready to go, down all the theories possible and am just seeking some help to push me through the final stages and some advice for anyone who is willing to help. I have more to my story if anyone wishes to find out more about my situation. Thanks for reading and your responses will be appreciated
