Hello Biggest Pocket Podcast Family,

My name is Jason Nguyen and I am working in King County, Washington with Jae Evans Brokerage. I would love to networking with in-state and out-of-state Real Estate Agents, Lenders, Contractors.

I understand referrals is very important for every business, so I really appreciate all referrals and guarantee that I would contribute my value as much as possible to your business.

All the best,

Quote from @Charlie MacPherson:

@Jason Nguyen I had my MA and ME real estate licenses with EXP Realty until I got out of real estate for the much greener pastures of business brokering about 1.5 years ago.

Things might have changed since then, but my memory is that EXP does not allow property management to be carried out by agents licensed with them.

If you were interested in working as a Realtor, I recommend them highly.  For property management, you can ask, but I'm fairly sure it's not allowed.

I haven't got in contact with EXP Realty about that since I have not got my licensed to be registered with the state yet. Again, thank you so much for your information.

@Jason Nguyen I would highly encourage asking your brokerage or company if that would matter. Because if you are working with them, it may be in the best interest to keep your license there. Now if they don't require it, then you have that option to choose what is best. If you are not considering helping buyers/sellers and just use it for your own research, I believe you can easily find most of what you are looking for and need without it, but that is just my opinion. You can build a relationship with other people within the brokerage.

Considering that it is purely for education and looking into potential homes, it can still be of some benefit. I assume you can also cancel most likely any time, if you decide you were to do it and then come to the conclusion it doesn't help. You can put out a lot of good information out to the public or your sphere, then refer business to other agents. You may also be able to take advantage of their referral program. But I'd also talk with other agents within that brokerage and see if they will require much of you & consider other costs.

Thank you for your helpful information. I will check again with my company and EXP Realty about that matter.

Hello everyone,

I have a question that I am not sure what to do with my real estate license as a newbie in this world. My goal is that I would like to develop my career in the property management and also managed my own real estate investments. I currently got the job as Property Administrator with JLL, and they said that my real estate license can be under JLL's umbrella. However, I did my own research with Exp Realty which they do provide the licensees with all the trainings online, multiple listing service membership and flexible hours that I learn and practice after business hours. I just love to look at houses and doing my own research on houses price on different location in Washington State. Other than that, I am not planning to seek buyers/sellers through the brokerage since I love my full-time job in property management industry.

Do you guys think that should I still hang my license with my property management company, or should I join the Exp Realty in order to have the ability to do my own research on the market with Exp Realty's Resources? Are there any other free resources that I can register if I want to do market research without joining the Exp Realty? (Because the monthly cost is $85/month which I am not sure is it worth it ? )

I really appreciate your kindness and your responses in this matter.

Jason
