@Lawrence Briggs

Cool, everything on that area seems be busy like Killeen. And with a base close by, I’m sure it’ll rent well! Thanks.

@Lawrence Briggs

Congratulations, would mind sharing some info on it? I currently live in NY just north of NYC but have a property in Temple, Tx which I thought I’d live in by now but haven’t due to my business doing very very well in NY. My temple home is basically a vacation home for now but I’m looking to purchase another home as an income property. I’m very eager to do it but I don’t know where to really begin.

Hi All,

I’ve been reading a lot of posts on the site and I’ve enjoyed most of them and found them to be beneficial.

I’ve read a lot of people saying you should learn the market in that area but what does that really mean?

What are things you should look into to learn a specific market?

What do you research?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

@Frank Wong

What the OOS mean?

The properties there aren’t high at all they’re all within that range as much as 80k

But I’d definitely agree on visiting it but was Curious if investors don’t actually visit properties they own.

Thanks.

@Laura Hines

Thank you for the reply!

I will continue to look at different places around there and others. The 20k property as you can imagine was a rehab property and thought after some repairs it would be a good opportunity for me.

I’m not looking for anything cheap but I read properties there aren’t too expensive there in to begin with.
