This thread looks like the place to be as it relates to various real estate investment strategies in the Bay Area. I've just been a casual ( Redfin / Zillow/ etc.) beginner real estate lurker for the past several years , finally get a handle on debt and gains of income to start planing some sort of investment strategy . ( 1-4 unit preferably 2-4 sidebyside)Will be exploring more details related to the Oakland Ordinance as this is where I hope to be able to wiggle into an initial BRRR or Buy Hold . Grew up in SF and dwell in Oakland so starting to understand every neighborhood in and outs. Hopefully I can bring some value in some capacity ( good at eBay/ amazon / and minor plumbing)

I saw a few Oakland Investors in this thread ( it started 3 months ago) that seem to be just starting out, would love to hear how things have come along over the last 90 days in Oakland and Vallejo.  Minh have great gems and DA (?) has that ordinance gem and Sal(?) looks to be in a few phases ahead of my focus ( 5+ units , but have the same goal ( bring value for tenants and not improvements that increase value and lower vacancy )

Hopefully folks can steer me in the right direction and to the right threads to really get into the nuts and bolts of what it will take to get my first property ( $30k+ , 675 fico?, good agent, good broker, great lender, etc.) Trying to be intentional about my efforts and not just continue my reading for another year but actually take some actionable steps.

Hopefully I add a few more folks to follow on these forums and glean some info
