Hey guys I'm new here on the forum but I wanted to reach out and see if you guys are or know of any good general contractors in the Miami area. I am reviewing potential deals rehabbing small multifamily units and one of my biggest hold backs in closing right now is not being able to get a good contractor on site quickly to give a sold estimate of rehab costs. Any experience looking for a contractor that has experience working with multifamily units or at the very least experience with full rehabs? Thanks

 @Omar Gutierrez Hi Omar I am a new investor in the here in the Miami market focused on rehabbing small multifamily units for a buy and hold strategy. Ironically enough my problem is not so much finding potential deals but securing a good GC quickly to give me an estimate of costs. In my experience I see a lot of potential in the complete rehab and renovation game simply because you are going in and putting it back together. From the projects I have seen I believe they would easily be in the ball park of what your speaking regarding margins. Do you have experience handling full rehabs on multifamily units? Are you interested in another client or looking for business? I would love see what your company has done and see if we can in work together in some capacity.  

Hi Guys my name is Jason and I'm new to real estate investing as well as to Bigger Pockets. A finance manager by day I am based out of Miami Florida and have decided to finally take the plunge and pursue my passion in real estate investing which I have always had. Having recently turned 30 with a wife and three kids I am looking to take on the challenges that come from time commitments while also dedicating myself to the building of my real estate portfolio here in Miami, Florida. I am interested in pursuing a buy and hold strategy and am looking to accomplish this through the rehabbing and refinancing of duplex and other small multifamily properties. I would like to network with and learn from real estate investors, wholesalers, contractors, home inspectors,  private money lenders and others. I appreciate the support of a community such as BP and I look forward to seeing what I can learn as well as contribute!
