Lance V. I was looking at buying a Fannie Mae multi-unit to live in 1 unit, but to qualify for the Homepath Renovation for multi-units you need 20-25% down.

Welcome Remon. I too am a rather new investor, but I will share with you some of the things that have been helpful to me.

1. This site has been great
2. Find local REI clubs and attend meetings and connect with the people there! There are many in your area I'm sure.

Good luck!

Education is the place to start. I just heard the other day that someone asked Robert Kiyosaki if he was a just starting out and had $30,000 to invest where would he start and he said getting the proper education. Paraphrasing that of course. I am new as well and I am close to Chicago, so maybe we could connect some time.

Hello,

What is the best way to research parcels for tax lien sales? I know how to navigate the online records, but every county is different. Also, this takes large chunks of time to research every individual parcel. Any suggestions?

Thanks

I've donated my face to Movember! Now I'm asking you to make a small donation to support my moustache and the 1 in 2 men that are diagnosed with cancer. Thank you: http://us.movember.com/mospace/557136/
