@Alex Capozzolo I was looking into house hacking as a potential idea and I think it would be a great way to start. Unfortunately, I already signed a 9-month long lease for my apartment at college. I'll just have to do some more research and come up with some creative ways of starting out. Thanks for the advice! Good luck to you as well.

@Alex Uman Thanks for the advice. I'll be sure to look into those areas a bit more. I'm more specifically looking in the outskirts of the city in places like Manayunk/Roxborough because this is the neighborhood I am most familiar with. Do you think it would be smart to expand more and look into the areas you mentioned instead?

Hi all,

My name is Jake Ashenfelter from Philadelphia and I am pretty new to real estate. In fact, I have never done a deal before. However, I am definitely a real estate addict that has been pretty passionate about it for over a year and I am looking to finally start investing. After doing a good amount of research I think I have decided that I want to focus on either flipping residential properties or rental properties or a combination to some degree. I am really open to learning about any other investment opportunities but I think these my best options for my goals and ambitions. I was wondering if anyone could direct me in the right direction to find out more information about the current state of the Philadelphia real estate market? Also, any other tips or advice would also be really appreciated. I can't wait to finally pull the trigger and start my investing career. Thanks guys and I look forward to getting to chat with some of you!
