Thanks Nathan. The RE attorney I talked to basically said the same. They’ve worked it out. The MPO has been lifted and the tenant is back in.

Good day BP community. Looking for some advice here. I'm a landlord of a newly constructed duplex in the New Orleans area. My tenants are great (well, until today). I have two roommates in one of the units, both of whom are in the military. I was just informed by one that the other got into some trouble and there is currently a military protective order against his roommate. The roommate (without the order against him) loves the place and is consulting the military's attorney. I'm currently looking through my lease and will consult a real estate attorney. Both of them have been great tenants but obviously can't live together with a protective order between them.

I'm assuming I'll have to evict the one with the protective order.

Sorry all just noticed I posted this in the wrong forum

I'm assuming I may have to pursue a cash for keys approach or potentially evict the one with the protective order.
