Hi all!

I need help purchasing my first property in North Atlanta area. An agent that's dealt with investors before would be great but not required.  I'm interested in a single family or duplex, and I'm not looking to wholesale or flip.

If you have any referrals or you're an agent in the area, let me know!

Hi all,

I'm from Atlanta but have been currently working in South Carolina (company still based out of GA). I'm curious to know what are the pros and cons of buying my first property out of state; leaning more towards the legal/tax/financing options first. I will worry about property mgt/maintenance stuff after.

Reasoning: I will be working in SC for quite a bit and it's alot cheaper to buy property too. I'm near a College town, so I feel that I can always rent it out once I move out.

@Michael Evans Thanks!

@Hattie Dizmond After Tom deeds the land into a trust for both, is the cashflow received from the property(in the future) written out on the trust or is it something to be settled out between the two? and thank you so much!

Good day all!

I have a question in the best way to go about purchasing a home with a partner.

Quick Background:

Bob - would be 2nd home

Tom- would be his 1st home (willing to live in home as primary)

What would be some recommendations in terms of finding a loan?

-Should Bob and Tom both get a loan together?

-Since it's Tom's first home could he just put the loan under his name to acquire a FHA loan and then just put the title under both Bob and Tom?

Thanks!

-Jared

@Gerald Harris Thanks, I definitely look forward to networking in this great city! And I agree, I've already spent numerous hours on the site.

Appreciate the advice @Okenna Oparah , I actually have heard of Atlanta REIA, and do we have to be members to attend? I'm also seeing a few locals on here, great to see. I believe Atlanta has so much potential to grow.

Hello everyone,

I am a recent college graduate and currently working as a mechanical engineer in North Atlanta. My interest in real estate began ever since my parents purchased our first home when I was 11. I wondered how we moved from a tiny apartment in New York to a 'mansion' in Georgia?

I finally joined this site after lurking around for a couple weeks. I know this is my first post but I already want to say thank you to this community. Listening to the podcast and seeing the support you all provide has motivated me to purchase my first home/investment within the year.

As of now it would be great to meet other investors in the area. If there are any local meetups that welcome new investors this month, I'd be happy to attend.
