Welome and I third the Milwaukee Real Estate class! Also we house hacked our first two properties and we are working on our third now. 🙂 Things will start to snowball if done right!

Hello there, my name is Janel Martens and I live in the Milwaukee area. I've been a Bigger Pockets member for about 6 months or so now and I can't get enough of it. My husband and I bought our first duplex 2 years almost to the day and we have been working to get our next investment property in the near future.

In all my research and education, I've realized that I feel stuck in my current day job and I know my skills are much better suited for the real estate industry. I've got the passion and drive to succeed in this field and I am ready to take my current project management skills to the next level. I've got my mother's work ethic and the carpenter logical mindset of my father. If anyone in the Milwaukee area is looking for a 5 year experienced project manager (in manufacturing) who is eager to learn and will not let you down, please let me know. I want to take my charisma and apply it to something more fulfilling.

Wow! I'm glad to know we're not the only ones. We are in a very similar position as Justin with price and experience. Properties are flying off of the MLS like hot cakes and we are looking at properties in the about the same price range for multi-families or less for single families. We are having trouble getting in and offering before another offer comes in. We have the financing in place and want to make an offer by the end of the week. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

My husband and I just took the Milwaukee landlord class Wednesday and I would HIGHLY recommend it. The best thing is that it's FREE. They bring in multiple people such as an inspector, police, etc. and provide local contacts to answer any questions you may have for Milwaukee.

We purchased our owner occupied duplex almost 2 years ago and are now looking to get our second multi-family home. We are working to determine our financing and finding a property.
