@Steve Rozenberg thanks for the response! I never thought of that possibility, but it makes sense. So even after the writ of possession, I need to wait 5 business days for the Sheriff’s Office to give the go-ahead? My gut says that you’re right. But I was hoping for a different answer.

My tenant has moved out after receiving a 10-day notice to appeal an eviction. I can pick up the writ on Friday (6 days). Do I need still to wait to paint and change locks, etc.? I can wait, but I would like to get started.
I’m looking for an attorney to help with an eviction. I’m in Chapel Hill, NC. Thanks!

“Hi James - Thank you for the information you have provided. At this time it doesn't appear that we'd be a good fit for each other. Our focus is to add a tremendous amount of value to all the clients we work with and based on your current situation we have not discovered a way in which we can do that.”

I'm thinking divorce. Has a dui and fair credit score. My concern is about renting to a desperate professional who knows the business. Does he have an angle? I plan to keep looking.

I have an applicant for my one-bedroom shared condo who lists his job as a property manager for a company that he owns. This property generally attracts college students and millennials just starting out. Why would a 50+ real estate professional want to rent from me? Doesn't pass smell test. Your thoughts?
