@David Song good advice. Thank you.

Just to be clear, I’m not blaming him for anything other than not being upfront. I was ready to act (still am). I respect that it was his efforts that brought the deal around in the first place. And, they’re will always be more deals in future. I’m learning.

In addition to improving communication, I’ve learned form these posts that I definitely should be acting more on my own to bring a deal about, instead of just waiting for the realtor to.

So, starting tomorrow, I’m feet to pavement and will do more myself!

Thanks again.

Thanks everyone!

You’ve all given me a lot to think about and some solid advice for moving forward. I appreciate the various positions and it’s helpful to see arguments from the various perspectives and experiences.

Cheers!

@James Wise

Only waited because he said to. Basically I think the agent kept me at a distance. Since he found it, I can see that he has a ‘right’ to it. I don’t think he should have kept his interest in it from me. Issue is transparency. But in the end I take that I do need to be more proactive in finding my own deals, and in taking bolder action sooner - regardless of who my agent is.

Thanks for the comment.

@Russell Brazil I asked to see it up front. More than once in fact. He said to wait until he looked at it.

@Brian Tome thanks. I’m sure that being both an investor and a realtor can test one’s priorities at times. After reflecting on this and reading the comments I’ll clear things up with him

And ensure better communication in future.

@Zachary Beach not harsh at all. I appreciate the different view. He is aware I’m looking to buy and am ready to pull the trigger. In this case I was under the impression that he was waiting for confirmation that the sell was willing to sell (naive of me maybe...probably). I asked a number of times for a viewing, and was told that he was confirming some things and would get back to me. When he did get back to me, he had bought it.

@Joe S. no deals yet. Where I am is pretty competitive at the moment. He brought the deal to me, but made it seem like I was the priority.

It seems communication is the missing part.
