Post: Bouncing Back from Being Discouraged

Hey Shelby,

I had a similar experience with my wife. It took me being consistent but respecting her ability to tolerate my talking about real estate 24/7 not being very high. After a while (couple years) she is fully on board.

In my experience there is no way to force people to see what we see. It has to happen naturally for them, keep going!

We just completed a live in flip in Northern California and are looking for a house hack in the near future. We were also at the meetup last night. I was the coordinator for the event. I’m currently interning for Kyle on the DGT. I’d love to connect and talk real estate!

Don’t get discouraged! We are playing the long game. Consistently taking action, learning and a growth mindset like you have will lead to great things.

Thank you Tim, I will get it filled in. Looking forward to connecting with some awesome people.

My wife and I are relocating back to the Auburn Area. She is an RN and is just starting her new job in Roseville. I currently work in fire and have been trying to find a fire job in the area. In the mean time, I have begun my RE license classes. I am almost finished, and then I'll be in the wait period for the exam. So, while I try to get on with a  fire department and finish my classes, I thought it would be a good chance to network. I have worked with a couple GC's doing everything from ground up, remodels, landscaping, etc. I also worked for the Reno Housing Authority overseeing and preforming maintenance on two low income apartment complexes, totaling 200 units. I was also licensed in NV as a Fire Sprinkler Tech. We are working on selling our current live in flip, and hoping to do something similar in the general Auburn Roseville area. This leads me to why I'm posting- I am hoping to add some value to someone's business either investor or agent. As an assistant? Handyman? Cleanup crew? Helper? Id love to connect and help you out and learn along the way!

hello all, im new to bigger pockets and real estate. currently on my second primary residence. I have listened to about half of the podcasts. been learning as much as i can im almost done with Brandon Turners book on investing with no or low money down. Im currently looking at a 5 unit property and trying to figure out financing. I want to get into real estate to build a great future for our kids and future generations. and to do all that while constantly learning and growing instead of just showing up at a 9-5. I am looking forward to networking, building relationships and learning s much as i can!
