@Mitch Messer I haven’t picked a place yet although I feel it would be beneficial to start in Michigan where I’m originally from and I’m most familiar with. However, I’ve heard from others that it wasn’t the most fruitful of places.

@Breelon Bryant

Maybe you could try a side hustle in sales to boost your initial cash reserve. Or build some smaller avenues of cash flow outside of real estate. Possibly start a small business and build it up until you don’t need to step into the office every day to get paid. There will always be real estate available.

@Ryan Taylor

He probably just gets more hate because he’s so widely known.

Right now, I’ve been blessed with not only having an income during this crisis, but also getting a lot of overtime (most of it mandatory) and hazard pay. Plus, my wife has been able to have a stay at home position which has also saved us money on daycare. Also, I’ve been working on a book (a crime fiction) for about a year and hope to publish it shortly after this crisis ends.

What are some ways you have been able to get the money to start your first deals?

P.S. I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy.
