@Michael Blackwell great information, yeah the challenge with house hacking multiple bedrooms is finding our own privacy...but I understand that the basis of a house hacking strategy is temporary inconvenience for a long term benefit!

@Michael Castro thanks Michael! Fort Worth is an area I haven't looked into much yet.

@Bruce Lynn thanks Bruce, everyone on this thread has been very insightful. I'll keep searching to find an ADU type strategy while staying open to the 4-5 bed 3+ bath single family house.

@Jay Hurst thank you sir, this makes sense. I'll continue to research and find out which neighborhoods offer this the most and also stay flexible as I continue to search!

Thanks @Andrew Postell

I am favoring a market that has a quicker commute time to the DFW airport! And I agree, I have been searching on the MLS and it has been difficult to find a single family home with an ADU attached. But I'll keep searching, Thanks for the help!

Awesome, I was just looking into Flower Mound as well. Lewisville seems like a nice area between the lake and the airport! Thank you.

Hello Everyone! Wanted to connect with anyone who had some advice on which markets in the DFW area that would be best for a House Hack strategy? The goal would be to house hack an ADU, and rent it out as a short or medium term rental. I have looked into Irving, TX but I'm wondering what other areas could be suitable for this strategy? Thanks!
