This was complex question when I first started buying investment properties till I seen a online guide to early retirement that made it pretty simple. They took some backwards planing steps and broke it down to how much does it cost for someone looking to retire early to live per day. They called this something like a life number. It takes into account everything from travel, emergency savings, housing, medical costs ect. I gave it some real thought and my life number is 277. So for myself to walk away from "working" I have to make 277 a day after taxes are paid with passive income.

Hello, my name is James I'm new to bigger pockets. I'm currently working on a buy and hold 6 unit apartment complex I own that will give me a total of 11 units over the past 4 years.
