There are pockets of these STR locations in orlando. For example in the sky lake area. You'll just have to ask around to find them.

There are many chrome extensions that do this. I've been using this one since it's one of the cheaper ones and gets the job done.

I would do a thorough examination of what else you would have to do to the property in terms of maintenance and repairs. And then I would ask what your investment time horizon and goals are. If they are long enough, biting the bullet and paying the $5k might make sense. I would also get another opinion.
