I may be making a mistake trying to get a question answered in this thread considering the hostility, but this is still the best place to ask so here goes nothing...

What is the difference between a wholesaler "stealing equity" and an investor making low offers for a good deal? And how is one generalized as an offense towards the seller when investors do it on a daily basis and (a lot of times) the seller is aware that they are giving up equity for the speed and convenience of a cash purchase?

I'm not arguing. I simply don't understand why one is bad, and the other is the norm.

Is there an advantage to buying historic homes? I know there are many disadvantages like unpredictable budget breakers, but is there a reason someone would choose a historic home specifically? I am looking at one in Central Texas to wholesale out and I'm not sure if there is a market for them at all.

During the week the evenings around 6pm or later are better for me. Weekends are pretty open. I prefer weekends, but I'll find the time no matter when it ends up being.

I think to start out having meetings a bit more frequently (every two weeks) might be more beneficial for newer investors (like me) and then maybe cut it back to once a month after we get comfortable.

Also I think Pluckers is a great choice.

I'm interested. This is exactly what I was trying to find for the past month or so.

I stumbled on the Renatus group and it took me 3 meetings and a runaway webinar to realize they don't actually network with anyone who doesn't buy their education.

I'm excited to join up when you get the ball rolling. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

Does anyone know if there is an active Meetup group in Central Texas? Meetup seems to be action packed with dead or dying groups. I am trying to find a group to network with as a new investor.

Is this still ongoing? I would be interested in participating if it is.

@Natisha Phouphayly thank you very much. I hadn't gotten to the podcasts yet but I'll make sure to dive in as soon as possible.

Hello everyone! My name is James Guillot from Temple, TX. I am currently an NCO in the Army and I am getting the ball rolling on something that finally feels right. I plan on getting out in the next three years and pursuing REI full time.

I have no prior experience in Real Estate or any other aspect of REI at the moment, but I am learning more every day and I plan on becoming very comfortable in most aspects. I wanted to get my face out there early in the hopes of gaining some knowledge through networking. I have already learned so much. I spend most of my time educating myself through forums, videos and books.

I look forward to learning from everyone here.
