I have saved up enough money to buy a house in the area I live. I have decided I would like to house hack a townhouse in the area. I have the criteria I'd like and have started applying for loans. My question is do you recommend putting the smallest amount down such as 3.5 or 5% to have the most leverage or put more down to decrease leverage and have smaller monthly payments. I have enough money to put more down, but feel it would be more beneficial to hold and invest in another investment or business. Im open to any thoughts on this idea.

This is a hard decision for a new investor such as you and I. I find myself getting stuff in analysis paralysis waiting for the perfect opportunity to jump in, but as time has gone on it is clear there is never a perfect time. By jumping in now with no sign of the market turning down you can do nothing but win. Even if you loose a little money because of the experienced gained for the next many deals.

I am currently a student at Elon University located near Burlington. I would like to get involved in a rehab investment in the area and with Burlington being so close it would allow me to spend more time on the project. I would be open to investments in the whole Triad area, but wanted to see the options closest to my location first.

I am a new investor in the North Carolina Triad area. I am currently looking at properties in the Burlington area but would be open to hearing about other areas in the Triad. Because of my new start to the investing community I don't have much of an idea of what the expenses would be on a 4 bedroom 2 bath home in the Triad area. If any investors have any insight that they would be willing to share it would be much appreciated.

Hey everyone

Im a college student from Durham, NC but am trying to start investing in the Alamance area due to the lower prices of homes. I have spent the last 3 years in the Alamance area, but have just begun researching the possible investments. Being a new investor to the area I would like any information from an investor already in the area, such as:

Where is the best location to invest?

Do you know any good realtors specifying in investing?

Have you had any issues finding deals?

Where have you located your deals?

Any information would be very much appreciated.
