We’re looking Oak Park, Warren, Southfield, Detroit (west side) areas.

Desirable = needs no more than 15k in repairs, low-cost relative to the area, ARV 30% more than purchase price + repairs

Definitely appreciate the knowledge!! I did find some local county assessor websites and found the skip tracing website. We didn’t even know these existed lol.

We do plan on paying cash for the properties but have separate emergency and renovation money to go along with that.

Hey everyone, my dad and I recently have started our real estate journey and are super excited!! We’re from Michigan (Metro-Detroit area). We’re currently running into a problem and I hope you can help us out. Our market doesn’t show a lot of desirable houses in our price range (around $50k) but we know there are deals out there. Does anyone have good strategies to find off market deals?

Lol I haven’t yet finished college but I was studying Architecture & now I’m studying graphic design. Architecture has definitely helped me be able to renovations better and I’m not sure how graphic design is helping lol.

Besides college (most importantly) I’m self study in RE. Books, mentors, and experience have been my teachers otw to my first property!
