I am looking to buy a duplex as my first investment in Memphis. I do not have any experience in buying a property, as this will be my first. I have read many of the posts here on BP about buying a duplex as a first time investment and have heard the pros and cons. I have been looking in the midtown area and was wanting some thoughts/ advice into which area would be best to invest in?? Any advice would be helpful and appreciated!!!

Hello!! My name is Jaleh Ebrahimi and I am currently residing in Memphis, TN. I am a full time bartender! I have always been interested in real estate, but have just been too scared to ever do anything about it. About a year ago, I started looking into different ways to get involved in the real estate community and that is when i came across the Bigger Pockets community. I would really like to learn as much as I can from all of you. My interest is in real estate investing/ buying and renting out homes/ fixing and flipping. I don't know if I have covered everything in my intro, but I hope to meet as many of you as possible!!
