No problem! I think that a lot of the information on this thread is outdated and no longer represents the Connected Investors community. Not only is it a good way to network and build your buyer/sellers list, but CiX is also a great tool that I use to get funded.

Woah @Andrew Johnson ... First off, I would like to point out how disappointed I am that I cannot simply put out my experience using Connected Investors without being touted as a "fake". Secondly, I am new to the BiggerPockets community as I have been using the CI platform for some time now. The first instance I saw negative reviews about the company I have built my company on the back of, of course, I will jump to defend them. I think that many people on this site either did not utilize their platform correctly (or efficiently).

I believe that Connected Investors has a lot of value to bring to investors when it comes to certain products and networking in the REI community. I have wholesaled countless properties through their messaging featuring and discussion board. I believe people like you (Andrew) do a dis-service to other investors who could potentially find value in the site and are deterred because of comments like yours.

Dear BiggerPockets Community,

I have to say that I am SHOCKED at these stories about the Connected Investors community as I have had a completely different experience than others. I have been with Connected Investors for a little over 3 years now and have seen a number of improvements to all their software. I currently utilize their suite of apps which (in my opinion) saves me hours of scouring the internet.

As a consistent user of their platform for networking purposes, I can honestly say I have acquired HUNDREDS of emails and phone numbers that allowed me to grow my buyer/sellers list. On top of that, I have recently noticed TONS of shadow inventory added to their marketplace. I even called to ask where it was coming from and they quickly got back to me saying they signed some large asset managers.

I think a lot of people are quick to judge this company but are in fact not utilizing their platform correctly. There is no such thing as a free "Turn Key" system, but Connected Investors is as good as a community as any and their technology saves me time (which I enjoy with my family).

Just my 2 Cents,

Jake Scott

Hello Everyone,

As a member of Connected Investors over the past 2 years... I can tell you one thing, THE SITE HAS VALUE AND THE COMPANY HAS GREAT CUSTOMER SUPPORT. After a long conversation with their team about 5 months ago about the very complaints listed above, they promised me (as a daily user of CI) they would fix the problem. There are very harsh claims in this discussion but has anyone been to the site as of lately?

From what I can tell, they have taken drastic precautions on their site to keep your data (email and phone number) safe. They assured me it is impossible to rid the entire site of scammers (BiggerPockets has the same problem), but they have limited them greatly.

I am a daily user of the site using it to connect with other investors across the nation as I find wholesale deals and sell virtually. Now I know many do not do that. But, I got my first 3 flips done through partners and lenders on CI.

Just like the recommend when I need funding I use CiX.com and don't go through lenders from the "Discussion" board. Maybe you guys should check it out and utilize the parts that make it worth it to be a member.

That is just my 2 cents...

Hello, BiggerPockets Community! (Man is it good to be here)

I got into real estate a little over 2 years ago. I flip-flopped from being a wholesaler to flipper throughout these last two years and have had successes and failures. Needless to say... I have experience in the industry.

I wanted to get the communities take on a company/platform that I utilize on a day-to-day basis, Connected Investors.

Many people have mixed feelings on this company but I wanted to share my experience on the platform and how it has helped me and something's you may want to try.

When I first got started, it was because of a webinar that I saw with their CEO. I couldn't afford the program (though I wanted to) so instead I made a free account and poked around.

I realized that investors were putting deals up there, collaborating, and using the platform as a type of LinkedIn. I quickly started building my buyers and sellers list by messaging other members who were investors in my area. Then when I found a deal, I found a partner to JV with me. That is how I got my start...

I don't use all their products, but they have a few that are CRUCIAL to my business. One has all the contracts I need and another emails me deals daily. Pretty cool!

What is the communities take on this company, their products, and their programs?
