Okay thanks Helen! I will definitely try to make it to that. It's in my calendar. Just let me know if anything changes!

Thanks for the replies! Donnie that sounds great, let me know if you guys are doing meetings because I'd love to learn more about this area. James and Ricardo- I am definitely planning on continuing to learn everything I can through the site, and I love the podcasts! Jeremy, I am aiming for rentals. My family has a few rentals around, mostly single family, but not as much expierence with multi family homes which I am very interested in. I am considering eventually purchasing a duplex or something like that to live in one unit and rent out the other(s). I'm curious to everyone else's opinions on starting with buy-and-hold rentals, vs starting with a flip or wholesale or something to help gain capital. Ive been saving for a down payment for a house/condo for myself, but I'm not sure anymore that that is the best first investment. I need more ideas! Living in a duplex and renting out the other side? Buying another single or multi-family home to rent out while I just rent for myself elsewhere? Seems like there's so many options.

Hey all, I'm new to the site and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Jake Roland from Opelika, Alabama (or Auburn) I've just started learning about Real Estate investments and am very interested in trying to pursue something in the next year or so. Please let me know if anyone else is around this area, or even if you're not I'd love to make some connections! I want to share my ideas and have some feedback and help to get started in this field.
