Post: New Investor with a Remote Job

I'm lucky enough to have a remote job as a software engineer. I currently live in Kalamazoo, Michigan. But I want to move. I'd like to get started on my real estate journey with a BRRRR or a house hack-. Eventually, I'd aspire to move again and repeat this until I have properties all over the country. Maybe it's not the best startegy as I know that you get really wealthy by getting really good at one location, but I like the idea of having some diversification with location and it sounds sexy as hell to one day say "I have property in every state." But since I can live pretty much anywhere I was wondering if there was any advice for how to select a good location to get started with?
