Quote from @Jaycee Greene:

@Jai Windish I don't know the neighborhoods of Peoria, but what about something like this: https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/1025-N-Uni...?

Jaycee - I've been using Zillow for most of my research. I will check the link you put above. Maybe I need more than one. Thanks so much

I would say any rehab project would need to be fairly close to me. I'm totally good with some sweat equity but I'm not in a position to do Roof, siding, structural repairs and such. Remodeling, painting, carpet, flooring, light or water fixtures - sure, I'm good with that. Price range seems to be so fluid from what I'm seeing - as I'm sure you well know this but a home in one town might be $20,000/$30,000 variation in another. If it's a "fixer upper" probably under $50,000. Again, that same property might not bring $50,000 resale in a lousy neighborhood.

Hey Jaycee,

Thanks for reaching out. Probably starting out small Jaycee - SF or maybe some smaller duplex type properties. If the price was right on Turn-key maybe, but probably more of the fixer-upper that can be leveraged later on for additional property or sold for a nice profit.

I'm just getting started and really just learning some of the Ins and Outs. Finding that there is a lot happening and a lot to know.

I appreciate anything anyone wants to share.

Respectfully,

Jai

Hey everyone,

I am from Illinois and actually closer to Peoria than Champaign, but choices were limited. I am getting into Real Estate investing but am a rookie looking to connect, learn, network, and pick up any lessons along the way.

Thanks in advance to all.
