Post: Potential Deal?

After about 3 weeks of driving for dollars and no real luck I found what to me seems to be a potential deal. The house is pretty beat and in a decently nice neighborhood. I am thinking of contacting the owner and hopefully they'd be motivated enough to get rid of the property and I'd have a chance at my first wholesale. But it seems the house is under a court case so I don't know if it is worth going after because of some possible legal troubles, I have never really seen anything like this. Any suggestions or info would be greatly appreciated! Thank You

Brian Wheeler Congratulations on the close man! I am also 18 and currently marketing for motivated sellers! This was very motivating knowing someone my age has successfully done this! How did the whole process go if you are willing to share.

About a week and a half ago I purchased Cody Sperber's first million in real estate and since then I've practically completed the course. The program has tons of videos that are actually very helpful for a beginner like me. I believe I have now built the general knowledge to get started. I am looking now to start marketing for a motivated seller and try to get my first wholesale rolling, and I am very excited to start. Although me being an 18 year old student I feel I have a disadvantage because people may think I am not serious. I want to start to put up bandit signs (anybody have experience putting these up in Ventura county?) since these are probably the lowest costing marketing material. Does anybody have any advice for marketing myself and be taken serious since I'm young and new? If anybody has any advice id love to know. Thank You!

Hello everybody, I am new to bigger pockets and finally starting to get serious about real estate. My future plans would include establishing a set of properties to rent and also flip houses aswell. But as of now I am 18 and have about $1000 to start off with and from what I've been reading wholesale real estate is probably the best way to start gaining any capital. I live in a middle class county with houses averaging about 500k would this be an ok place to start? I would just like any tips on the beginning stages of this type of investing. Thank you
