Huong Luu, that is great advice indeed, thank you! I have been considering attending a tax auction this September just to get an idea of how they play out. I'm glad you didn't paint a rosy picture and say it would be easy. Likely I'll just be doing the "Driving for Dollars" strategy and trying to find property investments that way, but I do want to learn about foreclosures and tax liens as well. Thanks for the wisdom!

Thank you, Roy! I was beginning to think that Privacy laws might be part of the reason that I haven't come up with much on my own yet. I'll definitely look into the newspaper and Royal Gazette listings. I appreciate the response!

Hi everyone, this is my very first post as a member here, but I've been soaking up all the BiggerPockets info I can get from Youtube videos for a while now. I'm 100% noob and just learning the ropes before I buy my 1st investment property hopefully later this year.

I'm watching a video right now that describes real estate lists that U.S investors use to help them find motivated sellers. I'm looking to find Absentee Owner and Pre-Foreclosure lists, since I am sure I can find Tax Delinquent and Probate lists at City Hall and the Courthouse, respectively.

Does anyone have tried and true websites in Canada that they use to find pre-foreclosures and absentee owners?

Thanks for any insight you might have.
