Hello All,

I just wanted to take some time to introduce myself to the BP Community. I was introduced to Bigger Pockets when I started listening to all the BP Podcasts (which are great, by the way) and have been reading through the forums/posts for a few months now.

As mentioned in the title, I'm from Phoenix, AZ and am a CPA in the Valley. I'm looking into the "buy and hold" strategy and would like to start off with a few multi-units (preferably duplexes or quads). I'm looking forward to getting more involved in the forums and the greater Bigger Pockets Community.

Cheers!

-Alexis

Hello All,

Seems I'm late to this post, but am curious to know if this ever happened? Is there any interest in getting another meet up together?

Great point Steven! Thanks for the reply! I think I have the ability to go through the process solo; however, I think it may take me more time to close on something if I fly solo. I like the mentor idea as well - been trying to connect here in the Valley, so maybe that becomes a definite option!

Hello All,

By way of introduction - I am a new investor in the Phoenix area looking specifically for multi-unit properties. Being that I am new to this process, I wanted to get BP's feedback on whether or not I should look into getting an agent for purchasing my first multi-unit property. I've established some relationships with real estate agents as well as wholesaler's in the Valley, but I'm interested in hearing both sides of the argument (i.e. folks who have used a real estate agent and those who have not).

As a bit of background - This will be my first property that I purchase and expect to finance it using an FHA loan (3.5% down, leaving a cushion in my bank account for any unforeseen expenses). I'm interested in purchasing a quad (maybe a duplex) where I'd live in one unit and rent the other units out. Ideally, I'd like to cash flow $40k in five years (still am developing my goals/strategies as I learn).

Looking forward to your insight!

Respectfully,

Alexis
