Here is my proposed question for you to send at your leisure on my behalf to Bigger Pockets.

There are three women named in a Will to inherit a house in Panama from an Aunt. Female A and Female B are legal half-sisters. Female C is a blood cousin only to Female A and not related to Female B at all.   Female C is listed as a sister to both Female A and Female B in the Will. Female C (who is not related by blood or marriage to the deceased Aunt) has taken over the legal process of the Will proceedings.

Note: Female A is related to both Female B and Female C by blood; however Female B and Female C are no relations to each other. In addition, Female B did not include Female A in the legal Will proceedings of their mutual father years earlier and is working with Female C to exclude Female A from the Will proceedings process. What can be done, so that Female A can inherit her portion of the house without working with either Female B or Female C who lack integrity? Yes, this is a true-real life drama.

Thank you for your input and suggestions.

My business partner presented this to me but I could not offer any direction as her legal counsel is not assisting the family in a manner of resolving the conflict. The process is very confusing at this stage.

Greg you have some good experience with the business of rehabbing or refurbishing living spaces. I like the process of having a person allowing you to do the work while learning .....good idea. I am about to purchase my first property and have been working 7 days a week in order to simply increase my investment energy. I want to house hack as Brandon often speaks of and have looked to go through NACA as a first time buyer in order to get the perks of what they offer. I too look to do as much as possible of my rehabbing and more than likely shall work with a friend of mine who has a small crew, he is a contractor from back in the day when we first met. I may be joining that crew! I shall keep an eye out for what develops with your plan. Stay well.

The lease holder may require the individual purchases a gun safe.

Great Steve I am looking to purchase my first multi-family property and have been taking notes everywhere I have lived looking at the rehabbing done, what could have been done better, quality of materials and for example screwing shelves directly into dry wall and no anchor used. I had two shelves to fall from the wall due to not having anchored them first. I look to do some of my own rehabbing so this is a good eyes open.

No my friend. I attended the 3 day seminar and after having complete it came home that night and pondered what could I do in order to get busy. I went out on Google and BP came up ..... been here now for about 2 years plus and have met many individuals who have assisted me in my quest and I have a person I rented from three years ago who sold RE for Long and Foster and was buying and rehabbing properties of her own. She has agreed to mentor me. I know of one attendee who at my last inquiry had not bought a property after a year but, paid 20k. I shared this site with her and a friend. Neither seemingly has done any thing significant. I gave myself 6 to 8 months and I have put the items needed in place so that I can get out the block running. Already have a hard money lender who can work with metals on property and I have two banks who are willing to work with me as well. This BP community is a win win resting place!!

NO!! I went to the three day seminar and after the hype up .... came home and wondered what am I able to do now. I did not want to invest the 20K plus money for the programs nor did I want to get a loan in order to attend the program. I found the Bigger Pockets site that night. A person sitting at the table with me did invest 20K and when I called her to see if she had invested in a property, no she had not nor had she moved any further than myself ...... I thought she would be holding a property in hand. This was after about six or seven months. Also, I emailed the BP site to two of the individuals including the person I mentioned above and neither had gone to the site. I simply paying off IRS and have been studying the books I purchased from BP and sitting in on the POD CAST.... I feel this is time well spent. Just my two dimes worth!

Thanks Kris for the results and displaying the data on what you experienced from the money side view. Good example for me to see what the numbers looked like as the rebuilding and sale took place. Good luck!

Very constructive comments in this thread and I totally agree that integrity, honesty, truthfulness and a win win mind set would be the disposition needed to have any dealings with another humanbeing. Regardless of what we are doing with individuals in this business it is in each of us a betterment to the business to have qualities that generate a desire for others to want to work with you, I hope this is my drawing quality so that I'm able to meet with success. Living in abundence, not scarcity.
