Drake, I am not sure what you are asking... I am looking more at cash deals with a 12 to 15 percent returns

Thanks for the suggestions. I will keep them in mind! I'm thinking the profit sharing route as well; however, potentially as a percentage of the difference between purchase price to ARV. These will primarily be rental purchases and the profit won't be realized until a later second exit.

Hello BP!!

We are considering hiring an acquisition manager in the future.  This person would be responsible for meeting with homeowners and getting deals under contract.  I'm not sure the best approach to creating a compensation plan for this position.  Does anyone have any suggestions on compensation structures that have worked (commission, fixed fee, hourly, etc...)?    Thanks!!

Hi Sejal!

Since I have joined I have listened to some of the podcasts on BP and they have been helpful!! I want to Buy and Hold and use the properties for rentals. Congrats on getting your first deal under contract! Hope it goes well! How did you find the deal?

I have only been to one REI meeting but would like to go to a few more this year. It would be great to connect with you at one of them in the future!

Mark- Do you find more of your deals through an agent or off market?

Good Afternoon! I am new to Bigger Pockets and Dallas Real Estate. I have a goal to buy one to two rental properties before the end of 2017 but does anyone have a recommendation on which market to look into for a new but long term investor? My price would be under $130,000, and 3bed2bath layout, and would like to get 1% or more in rent. Any recommendation on  real estate agents?

Hello Bigger Pockets! My name is Jacqueline and I am from Dallas, Texas. I am new to real estate investing. I went to a class three weeks ago about the industry and really enjoyed it. I got inspired to get out of my desk job and join the REI family. My goal is to buy a rental property by the end of 2017. I came across BiggerPockets while doing research into the REI community. Can anyone offer any help in taking the first few action steps in this process? I have looked on Craigslist and have done the driving for dollars but that is about it. I look forward to learning and meeting others from Bigger Pockets!
