Hello I am currently a student at The University of South Carolina in Columbia. Next year, I am looking to buy a house then rent out the other couple rooms to my friends and live with them. Basically my first goal would be to house hack and then hopefully have it cash flow. If anyone has any tips on trying to find a house or knows a real estate agent in Columbia that could help out, please let me know. Also, if you invest in Columbia and wanted to help out a beginner get started in real estate, your help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m currently 18, and I am looking to start investing in real estate to supplement my stock portfolio. I know learning about how to invest in real estate is a lifelong journey, but I was wondering if you guys think going the route of buying a quadruplex and house hacking it would be a smart way to go when I graduate from college? (I would Invest now but my college is out of my home state)If you guys could give any beginner advice or books you’ve read that really helped I would be very grateful.
