@Steve Meeker

Last time we ran until about 3:00pm, so I would definitely stop by if you are able to. It would be great to meet you and valuable for you to meet the group.

@Richard DemetriusI think that we have decided to meet on the first Saturday of every month at 1:00pm, but I will continue to update the thread every time we meet up. Hope to see you at one of them.

@Bradley Tetu@Brandon Coutts@Nicholas Savery

I think it is admirable that you are able to address that networking is a weakness in your Real Estate Investing.

I would encourage one or all of you to start a bigger pockets meet-up.

After connecting with a few local investors in Connecticut on BP, I found that there was need for a more localized meet-up, so we came up with a date that worked for us, and opened it up to the forums. We had a good turnout for the first meeting, met new people, and learned so much. All that was required was coming up with a time and a place. We now have are second meet up approaching and it seems to be gaining popularity.

I think that you have already established a need, now just come up with a time and a place. I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the ease of setting it up, and the rewards that you will reap from doing so.

PM me if you have any questions. Good luck!

-Jacob.

@Eric Zdanowski,

Welcome to bigger pockets.  I am in a similar position, being young and excited about real estate investing.  I am leaning towards buying and holding multifamily properties to build wealth, since I currently have a day job that I thoroughly enjoy.

To piggy back off of @Jacqueline Carrington, we also have a meet-up in Manchester on March 5th at 1:00pm.  You are more than welcome to join us as well.

Good luck, and send me a PM if you have any questions, or if you are interested in attending our meet-up.  I suggest attending both meet-ups if you can.  They have been so valuable for me, and I think that it is a great way to network and educate yourself.

@Lorranne Jimenez,

Welcome to BP.  I am located in Northeastern CT, and I am an aspiring real estate investor looking to enter into buying and holding multifamily properties through the "house hacking" method.  It seems to be a great way to enter the real estate investing, and I would be happy to share the information that I have learned so far if you have any questions.

Good luck!

-Jacob

Attention CT Real Estate Investors,

After a very successful initial meet-up in February, we are back at it with our Central Connecticut meet-up in Manchester. We are planning on meeting on March 5th at 1:00pm at @David Senna 's office located at...

406 Oakland Street

Manchester, Connecticut 06042

Depending on the number of attendees, we might have to scale up to a larger location, but I will be sure to update the thread if that is the case.

The idea of this meeting is to bring together all types of real estate investors (new and old) to talk about past, current, or future plans/deals. This is not intended to be a sales pitch. If you would like to join please leave a comment below.

I will try to tag everyone who has expressed interest in attending this meet-up, but anyone is welcome. Last meeting was extremely valuable, and I can't wait for this one! I look forward to seeing you all soon.

-Jacob

@Douglas Cyr,

Welcome to Bigger Pockets!  I am located near by in Mansfield, CT.  I am currently in the hunt for multi family properties to serve as an additional income source to allow for an early retirement.

In addition to the wonderful options that Daniel has shared, I am also part of a meet up group located in Manchester, CT that meets the first saturday of each month at 1:00pm.  Our next meeting is on the 5th of march, and I will be starting a thread with more details about the event.  It would be great to have you join, it was an extremely beneficial experience for me.

I would also be more than willing to meet up for coffee or a meal if you would like to bounce ideas off of each other.  You are correct about BP being an amazing resource.  Best of luck!

-Jacob
