We don’t know.....

County regulations on occupancy

Rental regulations in your hoa ccr’s.

Occupancy restrictions in your hoa ccr’s.

Fine amounts in your ccr’s.

You get the picture?

As for the worst that can happen.....

The county/city fines you for illegally doing work without a permit, and you have to tear it out too

A fire or other accident occurs due to your illegal renovations, someone dies

????

Yes of course. I just want to know the worst case scenario that have been know in other condos. e.g. 10k fine + tear down, etc. etc. I want to know the average bad case scenario.

check the rules. in my condo, they don't care what you do to the inside. they were the ones (the HOA management company)

who negotiated instalation of a wall in an effiency on a unit I rented once.

Okay, do you know what will happen if the HOA doesn't allow it and I install walls in the living room to add a bedroom anyways? Will they have me just take down the walls if they find out or will they give me a fine? How much would the fine be?

Hi guys,

What is the worst that can happen if you illegally add a bedroom in condo? e.g. what if the you don't get approval from the HOA first, the HOA prohibits addition of rooms, etc?

What are the chances of any consequences and what are the most likely consequences and the worst that can happen?

Thank you.
