@David Heath Yes eventually. Right now I need my full time job to support my real estate business. As well as provide insurance for my family. But ultimately I would like to be self sufficient through my Investment Properties.

@James Wilcox That sounds great, I will message you.

@Julia Fair Thank you for reaching out. Somerset is a little further away from me then I would usually look. But I do have a few friends in the area, keep me in mind when its time to sale.

@Corey Griffo Honestly I still feel like I am just starting. First thing I would like to find a CPA who is into Real Estate, as my current one does not seem to be. Make sure I am set up right and saving every where I can.

I have been doing my own accounting with Excel, but it is becoming a headache the bigger I grow. I'm thinking I'll switch to quickbooks, but wanted to talk to with a CPA about that too.

Second on my list was to find a Lawyer in the area, as I had a tenant not pay for 2 months before leaving. Not too worried about finding one, there seems to be a lot in the area.

As for property management, I am doing OK with 6 units, It is hard some times with a full time job. I am searching around for PM software more than anything. Once I get more, around 12-15, I will probably need to switch a company or quit my current job.

Any connections, comments or suggestions are welcome. Thank you.

Hello everyone, My name is Jacob Muench.

I purchased my first investment property in 2014. A duplex in Georgetown, KY close to my work. Lived in that duplex until eight months ago when I purchased a personal residence in Frankfort KY.

I have also purchased two other duplexes both in Georgetown Ky in the past 5 years. Up until now I have been doing all the property management myself as well as majority of the accounting. I have a local CPA check me on taxes.

I'm hoping to get another property within a  year, but I am getting a too big to handle everything myself.

I tried a few meetups but with my shift, 1pm to 10pm, it is hard to find a consistent group.

Open to any and all suggestions and questions and willing to work in Georgetown, Lexington, Frankfort, Louisville, and other local area's.
