@Leonard Gayle Thanks a lot! I know it’s not going to be easy but where there’s a will there’s a way! Thanks for the encouragement, wish you the best.

@Gal Shapira Thanks for the advise! That’s what I believe too and that’s what I’m going to do! I’ll try to give an update in a few months of how it goes. Wish you the best.

@Christian Cramer Thanks for the advise! I’m currently pretty determined to give being an agent a try so that’s what I’m going to do full time in the immediate future. Going back to school for a business degree of some sort in a year or two is definitely something else I’m considering as well. Good luck with your career, thanks again!

@Caleb Heimsoth I’m always looking to further my knowledge on things I’m passionate about. This path in life is something I’m beginning to be very passionate about. I have a strong drive to succeed and am willing to put the time in that’s needed. I made this post to get opinions from people with far more experience than myself. I still have a lot to learn but trying to use all the possible outlets I can to get there. Thanks for the reply.

@Caleb Heimsoth I’m confident I will be able to produce a, small starting off, income as an agent. I don’t need many sales to start saving up money. My long term plan currently is to save enough from being an agent and build my credit along the way to begin looking into housing loans and owning properties. I guess I see it as if there’s a small chance for success I want to reach for it. Thanks for providing an alternate view as far as education goes though and best of luck to you.

@Daniel Hennek Thanks again for the input. While I’m not trying to portray that I view college as something not valuable, I feel like this is the best time in my life to take the risk and dip my foot into real estate. I’m able to have a roof over my head and pay little bills every month while saving what commissions I may receive. I don’t intend to completely cut ties with my schooling and I will still have my credits from my first semester if I choose to go back in the future for a degree. I believe in the quote, “If you want something, you’ll find a way. If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse.” Hoping for the best, thanks again for the feedback.

@Daniel Hennek Thanks for the feedback! I definitely do not have high hopes for making tons of money early on but I feel the experience I’ll gain this early will be very valuable later on. I feel like “enjoying college” may be right for some but for me it’s hard to feel happy knowing I’m in the exact system most people in debt or not able to grow financially start in. I guess right now I see becoming an agent a better start to a path of wealth and prosperity then I do getting a degree and having no clue where I could end up with it. Just my honest thoughts, I realize I’m very new to this field and trying to learn as quick as possible. Thanks again.

@Caleb Heimsoth Appreciate the feedback! I realize getting my further education would be a valuable asset in the future. But I’m struggling to see the benefit in the short term when there’s other routes to begin generating wealth now. As you mentioned I was indeed referring to future student loans as I’m hoping after my first year as an agent I will have generated some commission to pay them off. I’m very dedicated to being successful and being something outside of the typical career is very appealing to me. I should note being an agent is just what I plan on doing for my first 10 or so years in real estate. I eventually want to invest and do other things like flips, etc. Thanks again for the input!
